Fusion Sport and MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference kick off new major sponsorship

Fusion Sport is pleased to announce our sponsorship of the 2018 MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, to be held February 23 and 24 in Boston.  The team at Fusion Sport are extremely excited to be part of such a world-class event and to help lead the way on data analytics technology in the sporting arena.

Presented by ESPN, the two-day event will highlight the impacts of innovations driven by industry experts, team owners, league executives, coaches, and players in the sports industry – both on and off the field.

The breadth and scope of the conference has evolved over the years from only a few panels to a massive multi-day event featuring speakers, interactive activities, presentations, and workshops. This year’s event will feature high profile speakers, including President Obama, 44th president of the United States, and a well-known sports fan. Other notable speakers scheduled for this year’s conference include Adam Silver, Rob Manfred, Nate Silver, Alex Rodriguez, Steve Ballmer, and Maverick Carter.

The Fusion Sport team has been attending the conference for a number of years. In 2015 they took home the Alpha award for technology most likely to impact sport on a global basis.

Well on our way to impacting human performance globally, sponsorship of this year’s sports analytics conference shows continued commitment to providing the best human performance technologies.

Fusion Sport’s SMARTABASE Human Performance Platform is used by hundreds of elite sporting organizations in addition to the military and performing arts. SMARTABASE is an intuitive platform for managing all data and provides athletes, coaches and management with clear and concise interactive data visualizations which are tangible and usable instantly.
As part of our 2018 sponsorship at MIT SLOAN, we’ve gathered the top human performance organizations as speakers  to be part of the event for all attendees to benefit from their collective experiences.

The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) will be taking part in a Competitive Advantage session at the conference. With a user base of over 15,000 including athletes, medical staff, coaches, sport scientists, data analysts, high performance managers, and dieticians, the AIS have developed a truly centralized national system.  See how the AIS has successfully transformed the culture around data and outcomes for athletes across the Australian sporting landscape, especially in the area of injury prevention.

Another Fusion Sport partner, the 711th Human Performance Wing of the Air Force Research Laboratory, will explore their need to stay at the forefront of human performance.
The University of Oregon will expand on their experience consolidating human performance data across the university’s 19 sports and, finally, professional Australian Rules football team, the Geelong Cats, will showcase their world-class training reports.

Over the course of the two-day event Fusion Sport will also be educating delegates in the data visualization room and taking them on an interactive journey into the world of human performance data.

Let us know if you will be at the conference this year. We look forward to seeing you there.
