‘Developing The Young Athlete’ Geelong Grammar School | Innovate by Fusion Sport

Our professional development event in Melbourne with AFL Academies High Performance and Medical staff was a great opportunity to network with professionals that share our passion for driving human performance. With so many of our clients doing great things in the world of sport science, Head of Strength and Conditioning for Geelong Grammar School Thomas Van Kalken shared his experience developing youth athletes and preparing them for successful sporting careers.

Thomas Van Kalken has diverse experience in domestic and international professional sport. Notably having worked as an assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Geelong Football Club between 2007-2009, Head of Physical Performance for Toyota Shokki Rugby Japan for 2 seasons and Head of Physical Performance for the Queensland Reds between 2014-2015. Thomas is now the Head of Strength and Conditioning for Geelong Grammar School.
