Athlete safety should always be the number one priority when training agility and change of direction abilities. An effective way of keeping your athletes safe, is to start a session with scripted exercises that require low intensity, and slowly progressing to those that require a higher load on the athlete. In this episode, Coach Young discusses the gradual increase of technicality and load intensity throughout a session to prioritise athlete safety.
