SMARTABASE data collection forms can be built using a wide range of question types, facilitating the storage and analysis of essentially any type of data imaginable. When building your unique customised events pages, there are 3 main categories of fields you can choose from – standard fields, custom fields, and calculations.

Standard question types include typical form fields such as text, numbers, option questions, drop-downs and tick boxes.

Each question types has a range of advanced properties such as

- formats
- permission setting
- visibility
- and all of these are completely user customisable.

Based on requests from our existing customers, we have coded a number of unique and very powerful custom question types, such as –

• HTML embeds – embed objects such as Youtube or other video players or widgets
• Documents – upload documents in absolutely any format
• Images and Videos – of any format
• Time series uploads – upload files from time series devices such as GPS and heart rate monitors. You can even write your own equations to analyse them in the system
• Body area and medical diagrams – visual diagrams for indicating sore body areas or injury classification using OSICS or ICD injury classification

Choose from a vast and constantly growing range of equations and analysis tools, such as –

• Linked Values and Options – pull data automatically form other forms to prevent the need for double entry and link different data types together
• History Calculations – automatically calculate data based on date ranges or phases of the athlete season
• Variation scores and Risk calculations – use the in-built SMARTABASE methods for determining significant individual changes using powerful algorithms and statistical methods.

When we first built your SMARTABASE system, we will use these tools to develop a custom built platform specifically to meet your needs. After that, we can train you to use the toolkit yourself, and create as many forms as you like into the future.
